Mary Selby is 2014 Vermont Volunteer of the Year

Mary Selby, a three-decade, sustaining volunteer for Vermont and New England, was named the 2014 Vermont Volunteer of the Year for her outstanding work to promote the growth of tennis. Her volunteer contributions include but are not limited to League Captain, League Level Coordinator, League Section/District Tournaments, USTA NE Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and Vermont community events (Burlington Kids Day, VT Senior Tennis Tournament, etc.). Donna Griffin New USTA Vermont President

Donna Griffin, a resident of South Burlington, has been a longtime player (some 30 years) in the Vermont tennis scene, most notably in League tennis. She has captained USTA League teams since 1992, was Vermont’s League Co-coordinator from 2009 - 2013, and has been a site director and/or support person for USTA New England District & Section Championships many, many times. Matt Olson Named USTA New England Executive Director

Olson comes to USTA New England from his role as Executive Director for USTA Atlanta and the Atlanta Youth Tennis & Education Foundation, a position he held since 2003. USTA Atlanta is the largest Community Tennis Association in the country with more than 50,000 adult and junior players. “I am looking forward to my new future and the exciting opportunity to work with the staff and volunteers at USTA New England" said Olson."
