DIANE MEYER TO BE HONORED WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FROM USTA NEW ENGLAND

USTA New England is honored to announce that Diane Meyer, of South Burlington, VT, is to be honored with the Gardner Ward Chase Memorial Award. This prestigious award serves as the USTA New England lifetime achievement award, the highest honor an individual can receive. Mary Selby is 2014 Vermont Volunteer of the Year

Mary Selby, a three-decade, sustaining volunteer for Vermont and New England, was named the 2014 Vermont Volunteer of the Year for her outstanding work to promote the growth of tennis. Her volunteer contributions include but are not limited to League Captain, League Level Coordinator, League Section/District Tournaments, USTA NE Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and Vermont community events (Burlington Kids Day, VT Senior Tennis Tournament, etc.). Donna Griffin New USTA Vermont President

Donna Griffin, a resident of South Burlington, has been a longtime player (some 30 years) in the Vermont tennis scene, most notably in League tennis. She has captained USTA League teams since 1992, was Vermont’s League Co-coordinator from 2009 - 2013, and has been a site director and/or support person for USTA New England District & Section Championships many, many times.
