Diane Meyer is Celebrated in Vermont
After more than 40 years of dedication to the sport of tennis in New England, Diane Meyer is retiring at the end of 2014. To those who play tennis in Vermont, Diane Meyer is a household name. The same can be said for many areas of New England and beyond. In June, Meyer will be honored again when she receives the Gardner Ward Chase Memorial Award for her outstanding lifetime contributions to tennis in New England. This is the highest honor an individual can receive from USTA New England.
Burlington High School Tennis Coach

Champlain Valley Junior Tennis League Individual Winners Crowned
The long-standing tradition of the Champlain Valley Junior Tennis League (CVJTL) Individual Tournament continued at The Edge - South Burlington (Kennedy Drive) July 26-27 with 44 singles and 38 doubles players. Read on to find out the winners and finalists.
Burlington Waterfront Tournament
Tashiro Wins Men's A Singles - John Tashiro continues to have a solid year on the Vermont tournament scene. The top-seed in the Burlington Waterfront Tournament this weekend lived up to the top billing by beating Evan Greer in the final 6-2, 6-1. And Fitzgerald/Katz won the Men's Doubles. Alex Blanchard is New Tennis Service Rep
USTA Vermont is excited to announce that Alex Blanchard has been hired by USTA New England as the new Tennis Service Representative (TSR) for Northern Vermont and Northern New Hampshire. A lifelong tennis player, Alex is a 2014 graduate of the University of Vermont where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Communication. Alex’s marketing and community relations background includes internships with the Vermont Lake Monsters baseball team and UVM Event Operations. Find out more!
