MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR NEW USTA LEAGUE PLAYERS

The State League Committee will be developing and implementing a mentorship program targeting tennis players throughout Vermont who would like to start participating in USTA League Tennis.  Experienced USTA players will serve as "buddies" and spend time on court with new players going over a typical 10-minute warm-up, the 10-point Coman match tiebreaker, the Vermont timed-match tiebreaker, and the Vermont Easy Reference Guide.  The Committee will develop a standardized mentorship guide so that all new players will be introduced to the same concepts.  If you would like to serve as a mentor or know players who would like to start participating in USTA League Tennis, please contact Beth Cook at bethellencook@comcast.net.
